According to its developer Wynn Resorts, the first integrated resort in the area is getting ready on Ras Al Khaimah's Al Marjan Island. It is scheduled to debut in four years.
To complete the facility's construction, two contractors have been chosen. The major construction contract has been awarded to Alec Engineering and Contracting LLC (Alec), while the piling and enabling work will be done by German foundation expert Bauer International FZE.
The facility's anticipated opening date has also been made public. Wynn Resorts CEO Craig Billings stated: "We have rigorously programmed and conceptualised Wynn Al Marjan Island over the course of the previous year, carefully taking into account its unique position. The ability of our design and development team to infuse our tradition of rich, deliberate design into a beachfront resort that will enthral both current and potential consumers make me tremendously proud. Early in 2027, Wynn Al Marjan Island will open for business.
One of the world's most well-known independent hotel developers and operators, Wynn Resorts, is recognised for its opulent hotels, particularly in Las Vegas. The team's upcoming project, Wynn Al Marjan Island, will be its largest and most magnificent one to date.
The resort was referred to as "a game-changer for RAK Tourism" in a Collier’s research about the future of tourism in Ras Al Khaimah, which was released last month. The report also predicted that the emirate may "welcome over 5.5 million visitors" by 2030.
According to the analysis, the resort will also have extra advantages including employment growth, a rise in tourists, and a boost to its international reputation. Given the increase in demand from both domestic and foreign visitors, it continued, "This property is expected to not only act as one of the flagship properties in Ras Al Khaimah but also create a gap in the market for new, distinctive concepts to enter."
The multibillion-dollar resort will contain more than ten great dining establishments, a spa, a variety of entertainment options, and a gaming section in addition to at least 1,000 accommodations.
Out of its six hotels in Las Vegas, Macau, and Boston Harbour, it will be the first Wynn Resort to be located on a beach and the US company's first venture into the Middle East and North Africa.
On Ras Al Khaimah's artificial Marjan Island, a resort will be constructed on a plot of land that is almost 250,000 square metres in size.
