NewsDubai Esports & Games Festival (DEF 2023) is returning for another year. It will take place in Expo City's South Halls in the Dubai Exhibition Centre from June 21 to June 25. The event intends to celebrate the video game industry, offer tech-driven interactive entertainment, and highlight Dubai's status as a major esports and gaming hub on a worldwide scale.
DEF 2023 will include various activities, including an interactive consumer expo, regional and influencer esports competitions, influencer challenges, a business conference that stimulates thinking, and a B2B networking occasion that brings together businesses from across the world. In conjunction with the festival, the GameExpo Summit will bring together regional leaders to discuss how to continue the gaming industry's rapid expansion.
The second iteration of the Dubai Esports & Games Festival, which debuted in 2022, is expected to be even larger and better. Building on the success of DEF 2022, DEF 2023 will feature an expanded GameExpo area for gamers and a modernised GameExpo Summit. An outstanding conference experience with more components, more international speakers, and collaborative sessions with the Dubai Future Foundation will be presented by the worldwide gaming industry. It offers a tremendous chance to participate in local and global gaming, serving as a regional substitute for internationally renowned events like Gamescom, G-Star, and China Joy.
The education engagement initiative will give college and high school students a forum to investigate how video games and esports may develop talent, exchange knowledge, and spread awareness of cutting-edge prospective job possibilities for the next generation. Students will take part in an engaging Minecraft Education Challenge that involves exploring a map based in Dubai. Additionally, there will be a MakeCode competition where contestants will demonstrate their coding and gaming prowess before live grand finals at Expo City. A fun educational programme will also include in-school influencer visits, a cosplay-themed dress-up day, and career seminars from businesspeople.
