It was reported on Monday that Terminal A of Abu Dhabi International Airport would open for business on November 1. Prior to the formal opening to the public on October 31, Etihad Airways will conduct a ceremonial flight.
Over the course of two weeks, airlines will move into Terminal A in three phases:
- On November 1, Wizz Air Abu Dhabi and fifteen other foreign airlines will begin operating out of the new terminal.
- Etihad Airways will begin offering 16 daily flights on November 9. It will join Air Arabia Abu Dhabi and ten other airlines at its new location when it officially launches on November 14.
- Starting on November 14, Terminal A will be fully operational for 28 airlines.
