Tadweer Group has deployed 25 locally made RVMs in popular places to promote sustainable waste practices among UAE residents

With AI-driven reverse vending machines (RVMs) in Abu Dhabi, you can now recycle plastic bottles to receive savings on airline tickets, restaurant bills, and retail cards. Tadweer Group has placed 25 locally manufactured RVMs in well-trafficked areas such as parks, ministry offices, and airports to encourage sustainable waste management among UAE citizens and motivate them to take action.

Amazon, Noon.com, Gourmet Lab, Max, Brands for Less, Filli, Emax, and Dreamworks Spa are just a few of the increasing number of partners offering benefits such as free dessert, shopping vouchers, and Dh100 off flights.

Get the Tadweer Rewards app downloaded. After then, community members must discard objects in the RVMs. Items will be scanned using AI cameras. A QR code will appear on the screen if the container is an aluminum can or a plastic bottle. Earning points for scanning the code is possible. After that, people may exchange those points for coupons or savings. 

Cans and plastic bottles are the only things that modern machinery will take. Shampoo bottles and other similar items will be rejected and deposited into a different box inside the machine, which the collection crew will clear.

Every person may monitor their influence on the community as they recycle through the RVMs. Data on trash diversion, energy conservation, carbon emissions reduction, and landfill area saved from being utilised as dumping sites due to recyclables being deposited will be displayed on the app.

Tadweer Group collaborated closely with several partners to introduce the RVMs, including retail centres, medical facilities, churches, and academic organisations. The Abu Dhabi Sports Council, UAE University, Tadweer Group headquarters, Zayed International Airport, the Ministry of Finance, ADNEC, Khalifa Square, and Umm Al Emarat Park are just a few of the locations where these machines may be found.
