Surf Abu Dhabi is scheduled to open in October; will cater to everyone from complete beginners to experienced surfers

Surf Abu Dhabi will provide an opportunity for surfers of all skill levels to enjoy the thrill of ocean surfing with the opening of the largest wave pool in the world in October. 

Developed as a collaboration between Modon and the Kelly Slater Wave Company, Surf Abu Dhabi is intended for all skill levels, from total novices to expert surfers. Modern technology in the pool generates a range of wave forms, making surfing feel as authentic as being in the ocean. The waves are designed to be predictable and controllable, which makes them ideal for practicing techniques or simply having fun.

The artificial wave facility in the UAE is equipped with state-of-the-art technology that adjusts the waves to accommodate surfers of all skill levels, making it ready to receive visitors of all ages.

When it opens, Surf Abu Dhabi will be open Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. and on weekends from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. For safety briefings and equipment setup, visitors are urged to arrive at least one hour early.

To accommodate surfers of various skill levels, the wave pool has been meticulously separated into distinct zones. The 'Beach Break' area is ideal for novices, since it features soft, rolling waves that foster self-assurance and impart fundamental skills. It provides two different kinds of waves: Green Water, which is a gentler introduction to surfing methods, and White Water, which mimics a conventional surf session.

The 'Cocoa Beach' zone offers waist-high, slow-moving waves that are ideal for experienced surfers to hone their abilities and get ready for more difficult conditions. For intermediate surfers, the 'Point Break' location offers faster waves with long, clean faces and controlled barrels, which are perfect for honing more dynamic manoeuvres.

At the Beach Break location, Surf Abu Dhabi provides a "Learn to Surf" program for novice surfers. Under the direction of qualified instructors, participants will learn the fundamentals of surfing in this 60-minute workshop, which covers important techniques, safety advice, and equipment usage.
