Speed limit on a particular stretch of road will be reduced from 100km/hr to 80km/hr in Ras Al Khaimah

Sheikh Mohammed bin Salem Street will have a speed limit of 80 km/h instead of 100 km/h between Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Roundabout (Al Riffa) to Al Marjan Island Roundabout.

The modification will be in effect from January 17.

Additionally, instead of the former 121 km/h radar speed limit, it will now be 101 km/h.

Beginning at the Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Roundabout and ending at the Port of Arabs, Al Riffa, Al Jazirah Al Hamra, and the Al Marjan area, the new decision attempts to lower the likelihood of speeding-related accidents on this street, which travels through residential, tourist, and commercial areas.
