Special task forces formed within 30 government entities in Dubai to harness the power of AI and transform government operations and services

In order to use artificial intelligence (AI) to revolutionise government services and operations, 30 government institutions in Dubai have organised specialised task forces. The task forces were introduced at the first meeting called by the Dubai Centre for Artificial Intelligence (DCAI), and were established on the orders of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Chairman of the Executive Council, and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Dubai Future Foundation.

Sheikh Hamdan recently launched DCAI with the goal of advancing Dubai's work and solidifying its position as a global leader in the adoption of cutting-edge technology. The taskforces will be crucial in assisting the DCAI's execution of a number of initiatives and projects, fostering cooperation and knowledge-sharing between the organisations as well as working with regional and international partners in the commercial sector.

Participants at the meeting received a briefing on the center's goals and areas of emphasis going forward. The main topics of discussion focused on identifying the important industries that will profit from the deployment of AI as well as identifying the technologies most likely to improve government performance.

The discussion during the meeting also centred on creating the framework that would enable DCAI to collaborate with both public and commercial organisations. These partnerships' main objectives are to improve government services, discover potential future prospects, and deploy AI efficiently. The centre wants to usher in a new age of excellence and wealth by working to make Dubai an excellent worldwide example for utilising cutting-edge technology within its government sector.

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum established DCAI, situated in AREA 2071 at Emirates Towers in Dubai, to aid governmental organisations in implementing cutting-edge technology in a number of crucial industries.

The Dubai Future Foundation, Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, Dubai Media Council, and Dubai Digital Authority will collaborate with the appropriate authorities to jointly supervise the execution of DCAI's objectives and results. They will concentrate on creating laws governing AI applications and carrying out the center's ambitions while luring the best local and international talent.

This programme was launched in accordance with instructions from His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to implement cutting-edge AI technology across numerous industries. A 34.3% compound annual growth rate is anticipated for the generative AI market, which is projected to increase from $10 billion in 2022 to $110.8 billion by 2030.
