During the holy month of Ramadan in Islam, there is a notable surge in demand for Umrah pilgrimages. An increase in queries is being observed by travel companies. Tour providers report that compared to prior months, the number of UAE citizens going for pilgrimages has increased by 200 percent. Umrah organisers, however, are hopeful that even more locals would make the journey since the holy month comes during the winter. It is anticipated that more pious people would choose this favourable time to begin their spiritual path because of the milder temperature.
Packages for Umrah typically start at Dh3,000, but during the first 20 days of Ramadan, prices increase by over 25%. Hotels in the holy towns of Makkah and Madina provide lodging for five nights during the first twenty days of Ramadan. But in the past 10 days, hotels have offered lodging for the whole stay because shorter stays are typically not accessible.
Package prices rise by around 100% as the month goes on, especially in the final ten days of the holy month. In order to save money on lodging, aggregators advise residents to make reservations in advance.
In UAE, umrah packages by bus beginning at Dh2,500 are becoming more and more popular.
