Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, toured the 29th edition of Gulfood 2024 on Friday

NewsFirst Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Finance Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum visited the 29th Gulfood, the biggest annual global food and beverage (F&B) sourcing event, on Friday.
Sheikh Maktoum spoke at the event and stated that Gulfood 2024 is a perfect example of Dubai's expanding role in supporting innovation, sustainability, and quality in important international sectors. Gulfood demonstrates the innovative concepts and patterns that will mould the future food industry, solidifying Dubai's standing as a worldwide industrial growth engine. Sheikh Maktoum emphasised that the event's current iteration has produced intriguing new prospects, collaborations, and insights that might improve the global F&B ecosystem and supply chain.
Sheikh Maktoum said, "Gulfood's enormous global participation shows further how Dubai can build platforms to connect markets and bring together talent, investors, and innovators from all over the world to unlock new possibilities in key industries." Helal Al Marri, the Director-General of the Dubai World Trade Centre Authority (DWTCA), joined Sheikh Maktoum on his tour.
Gulfood 2024, which took place from February 19–23, drew 5,500 exhibitors and guests from 190 nations. Sheikh Maktoum was exposed to a broad range of F&B industry goods, services, and technical innovations throughout the visit, all of which had the goal of lowering costs, boosting sustainability, reducing food waste, and fortifying supply networks.
