Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has approved the creation of a world-class Smart Autonomous Vehicle Industries cluster in Abu Dhabi

A plan was authorised on Wednesday, to create a unique cluster in Abu Dhabi to develop intelligent and self-driving cars for land, sea, and air. The complex is anticipated to create 30,000–50,000 employment and add Dh90–Dh120 billion to the UAE economy. Abu Dhabi's Crown Prince and Chairman of the Executive Council, Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has approved the creation of a world-class Smart & Autonomous Vehicle Industries (SAVI) cluster in Abu Dhabi.

The plans presented by Ahmed Jasem Al Zaabi, the Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development, to create a vast multi-modal cluster aimed at revolutionising the development of smart and autonomous vehicles for land, air, and sea were examined by the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince in the presence of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.He reiterated that in order to boost its worldwide competitiveness and make the shift to clean and sustainable industries, Abu Dhabi would keep forging forward as a leader in cutting-edge technology and sophisticated industries, and it will increase its investments in this area.

Sheikh Khaled also issued orders to form strategic alliances in order to foster talent development in the United Arab Emirates and abroad, access cutting-edge technology, build an environment that supports the industry, and promote the sector's expansion. The creation of the SAVI cluster will strengthen Abu Dhabi's standing as a worldwide centre for the development of intelligent and self-driving cars, bolstered by the emirate's robust aerospace and aviation sectors, as well as by its superior technological infrastructure and robust research and development community.
