Sharjah will be hosting a 3-day experiential event ‘Tanweer Sacred Music Festival’ from November 24 to 26

The first-ever "Tanweer Sacred Music Festival" will take place in the magical Mleiha desert from November 24 to 26, 2023, and Sharjah is getting ready to welcome the country, the region, and the globe to a 3-day experience event unlike any other. This ground-breaking festival will feature some of the biggest names in world music who will deliver innovative and culturally reverent performances, promising to be an unforgettable experience for everyone. Sheikha Bodour Al Qasimi envisioned it to be a testament to tradition, wisdom, and the power of community. The region's first-ever concept, Tanweer Sacred Music Festival, invites everyone to learn about the mysteries of ancient cultures through an enthralling programme that includes musicians, immersive art installations, an indigenous craft market, wholesome cuisines, as well as wellness activities and workshops led by renowned experts. Tanweer aspires to bring individuals closer to their ancestry, other cultures, and one another in a world that frequently seems cut off from its origins.

The global music performances that will take centre stage at the festival will be one of its most captivating elements. They will feature some of the biggest traditional music stars in the world, and they will be enhanced by laser projection mapping that will be projected onto the dunes and mountains, creating a visual and auditory spectacle that will astound everyone in attendance.

Tanweer Sacred Music Festival is more than just a music event; it's an immersive journey that invites everyone to experience mindful pursuits like yoga, breathwork meditation, and Zikr; savour nourishing culinary delights; discover an indigenous marketplace; and take part in unforgettable global experiences that are unheard of in the emirate of Sharjah and the surrounding area. Visitors are left feeling connected to each other and to the festival over the course of three days and nights. The 100 million-year-old archaeological wonder of Mleiha, which has received TripAdvisor's prestigious "traveler's choice" award for the sixth consecutive year, serves as the ideal backdrop for this distinctive cultural celebration, and every effort is being made to protect the environment.
