Free public parking will be accessible to residents in the emirate of Sharjah on Thursday, July 20, which has been designated as an official holiday to commemorate the Hijri New Year, the emirate's Municipality stated on Tuesday.
The exemption from parking costs does not apply to the seven-day paid parking zones, including Fridays and holidays, which are designated by blue parking information boards. To avoid fines, the municipality has advised all vehicles to park appropriately throughout the vacation.
