Sharjah Airport has experienced a remarkable presence in passenger traffic recording a rise of over 12 percent

With almost 4 million passengers passing through the airport in the third quarter of 2023—up more than 12 percent from the same time the previous year—Sharjah Airport has seen impressive passenger volume. Due to the improvements made to the airport's services and continuing growth initiatives in line with its strategic goal, aviation traffic reached 26,000 throughout the time.

In addition, the amount of freight handled during that time totaled about 35,000 tonnes, excluding over 3,000 tonnes of sea-air freight. This indicates the Airport's dedication to increasing efficiency and its ability to react rapidly to freight operations that require special attention, like handling, shipping, and storage.

The Sharjah Airport Authority is carrying out its development plan to provide a first-rate travel experience and to give passengers quick and easy access to services.
