Second edition Global Media Congress 2023 to commence on November 14; record-breaking international participation from major global companies

News EventThe second edition of the Global Media Congress 2023, under the auspices of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court, is scheduled to begin in the capital, Abu Dhabi, next week. Record-breaking international participation is expected from major global media companies, as well as experts, specialists, and decision-makers from all over the world. The press conference had revealed that the most recent plans for the opening of the second Congress edition, which will take place at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre will be from November 14–16. The event is being organised by ADNEC Group in collaboration with the Emirates News Agency (WAM).
Despite the event's recent inception, Al Rayssi expressed his pride in the unprecedented interest that businesses, decision-makers, and experts from around the globe showed in participating in the second edition of the Congress. He noted that this interest reflects the trust and professional credibility that the Congress enjoys. He also emphasised the Congress's important role in fostering a creative and encouraging atmosphere that encourages the formation of new alliances between businesses and entrepreneurs throughout the globe.
The success of the policy and the successful realisation of the aspirations of the wise leadership are demonstrated by the unprecedented interest in the second edition of the Global Media Congress, according to Al Dhaheri. He also noted that notable international specialised media companies are expressing strong interest in the Congress. The number of brands and enterprises exhibiting at this year's Congress has increased significantly from the inaugural edition of the event last year by 33% to a total of 257 labels. Additionally, the number of participating nations rose by 22% to 172, including 31 nations that were taking part for the first time. Compared to the previous edition, which had an exhibition area of 18,000 square metres, the overall area has increased by 78% to reach 32,000 square metres.
In addition, the Congress will include an exclusive gathering for leading industry figures, drawing more than 400 attendees from throughout the globe. The establishment of a Council, or "Majlis," which offers a private forum for business executives, production firms, and pioneers in content technology to interact, exchange ideas, and investigate prospects for joint ventures and cooperative production in the media domain, will help to facilitate this.
Furthermore, a three-day specialised conference comprising 77 speakers from major media actors from 18 countries will be held in conjunction with the second edition of the Congress. Compared to the previous edition, which had an exhibition area of 18,000 square metres, the overall area has increased by 78% to reach 32,000 square metres.
In addition, the Congress will include an exclusive gathering for leading industry figures, drawing in excess of 400 attendees from throughout the globe. The establishment of a Council, or "Majlis," which offers a private forum for business executives, production firms, and pioneers in content technology to interact, exchange ideas, and investigate prospects for joint ventures and cooperative production in the media domain, will help to facilitate this.

Under the theme "Shaping the Future of the Media Industry," the conference consists of 36 main sessions that address various topics of discussion. These include youth engagement, sports media, sustainability, innovation, cutting-edge technologies in the media sector, and the importance of training and development in improving the media industry's future.
Five other related events will take place during the Congress, some of which are debuting. The most significant of them is the Innovative and Businesses Stage, which will showcase over 24 businesses, of which 36 per cent are owned by national enterprises. This stage gives businesses the chance to present innovative ideas and technology to a broad audience of influential organisations and decision-makers.
Under the theme "Shaping the Future of the Media Industry," the conference consists of 36 main sessions that address various topics of discussion. These include youth engagement, sports media, sustainability, innovation, cutting-edge technologies in the media sector, and the importance of training and development in improving the media industry's future.
With over 30 training sessions for participants from all over the world, each with 40 trainees under the supervision of 25 international experts and institutions with specialised knowledge in the field, the second platform will concentrate on education and training. The purpose of this platform is to improve users' abilities in artificial intelligence, sports broadcasting, and sustainability.
Under the Future of Media Labs framework, leading industry executives, legislators, and entrepreneurs from across the globe are expected to attend the third event. Six private sessions will be held on this platform to generate and exchange ideas that will advance the media industry. Through 21 discussion sessions with 19 speakers, the fourth platform—which is devoted to innovation in the influencers' space—will provide content creators with a creative setting where they can communicate, work together, and share their knowledge and experiences with up-and-coming influencers.
With the involvement of 32 experts and speakers, the fifth platform will hold four new media sessions and roundtable talks to examine the potential and difficulties facing the industry in front of a gathering of creative talent and decision-makers from diverse media sectors throughout the globe. In addition, there is an 8% increase in media coverage of the Global Media Congress compared to its previous edition last year, with nearly 800 journalists from 58 countries in attendance. This highlights the Congress's growing significance both regionally and globally, as well as its important role in advancing the media industry.
