Sale of impounded vehicles will now be conducted digitally

The sale of vehicles that have been impounded will now be conducted digitally, reducing the time to just 45 days, according to a project that the Ras Al Khaimah Police has revealed.

The majority of activities involved in selling these cars must be automated, according to the authorities. Sorting, auditing, appraisal, judicial permission, announcement, and finally transferring the sod cars into the buyers' names are all steps in this process.

The initiative, according to Maj-Gen Ali Alwan, Commander-in-Chief of the Ras Al Khaimah Police, supports their strategy for digital transformation, which aims to improve police work. It will be implemented with the assistance of key allies.

The process of selling seized cars used to take at least three months, according to Lt-Col Dr Muhammad Abdullah Al-Bahar, Deputy Director of the Traffic and Patrols Department at Ras Al Khaimah Police. It would take just 45 days with the digital method.

One process channel was replaced with seven through the endeavour. The plan will eliminate human intervention from the sorting, analysis, and direct computer auditing processes. The relevant authorities' accreditation will be handled online, resulting in less paperwork overall.
