Saadiyat Island Abu Dhabi breaks Guinness World Records for the largest display of 1,100 message-filled bottles

With a creative display made of renewable materials, Saadiyat Island Abu Dhabi beat the Guinness World Records for the greatest display of messages in bottles. The location gathered 1,100 message-filled bottles to create a sizable installation at Saadiyat Beach Club.

Saadiyat Island invited visitors to take part in the stunt by writing a brief note explaining what they love most about the location or what love means to them. The idea was inspired by the well-known Pont des Arts bridge in Paris, whereby passersby attach locks with their names written or engraved on them to the railing or grate on the side of the bridge. After that, the notes were transferred to the beach club and put inside each glass bottle.

The bottles were creatively arranged into a sizable piece in the form of "I Love Saadiyat Island" by a local sand artist. In honour of the "Year of Sustainability," every piece of equipment utilised in this endeavour was made of sustainable resources, such as glass, paper that can be recycled, and jute thread for holding the notes in place before putting them inside the glass.
