At a ceremony on Thursday, His Highness Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, the ruler of Sharjah and a member of the Supreme Council, received the 2024 Nile Award for Arab Innovators.
The president of the American University of Sharjah (AUS), Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, was present at the occasion.The prize was given out by Egypt's Minister of Culture, Ahmed Fouad Hanno. The greatest cultural honour, the Nile Award, was given on Thursday by the Supreme Council of Culture to notable Arabs who excelled in the arts, social sciences, and literature.
Dr. Sheikh Sultan emphasised the country's major influence on Arab culture, knowledge, and education while expressing his sincere gratitude to the Arab Republic of Egypt for this distinction. As he considered his own educational background as a graduate of Cairo University's Faculty of Agriculture, His Highness also praised the nation's enduring contributions to science, culture, and education.
