RTA Dubai has announced that the closure of the has been extended until further notice

The Dubai Roads and Transport Authority has declared that the closure of the Floating Bridge has been prolonged till further notice.

The authority tweeted, "The Floating Bridge closure has been extended in both directions until further notice, to carry out technical tests and ensure the efficiency of the maintenance work on the bridge."

The authority has created a comprehensive strategy to divert traffic to alternate routes and crossings in order to guarantee a smooth flow of traffic.

Al Maktoum Bridge, Infinity Bridge, and Al Garhoud Bridge are a few of these. Along with major thoroughfares including Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road and Emirates Road, RTA will make the following changes to Al Mamzar Street's exit to accommodate drivers arriving from Al Ittihad Street:

To facilitate access to the Infinity Bridge through Cairo and Al Khaleej Streets, traffic from Sharjah through Al Ittihad Street should utilise the Al Mamzar Exit, which will be open for traffic (formerly restricted to buses and taxis).

The Infinity Bridge to be used for Traffic from Deira to Bur Dubai through Al Khaleej Street

Traffic travelling along Al Ittihad Road from Sharjah to Bur Dubai should take the Infinity Bridge through Cairo and Al Khaleej Streets, the Al Garhoud Bridge, or the Al Maktoum Bridge.

Use of the Al Maktoum Bridge and the Infinity Bridge is required for traffic travelling from Bur Dubai to Deira through Khalid bin Al Waleed Street.

Utilising Al Maktoum Bridge for traffic travelling from Bur Dubai to Deira via Umm Hurair Road

Al Garhoud Bridge, Al Maktoum Bridge, Infinity Bridge, and the Business Bay Crossing will be used by traffic travelling from Bur Dubai to Deira through Sheikh Zayed Road.

Bur Dubai to Deira traffic along Al Riyadh Street Al Maktoum Bridge should be used

Drivers may utilise major routes like Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road and Emirates Road to get from Bur Dubai to Deira.

The administration has stated that it will keep an eye on and control traffic flow to guarantee seamless operation while the Floating Bridge is closed.
