RTA completes the upgrade of Ticket Vending Machines across stations; now Dubai Metro riders can recharge their Nol cards with digital payments

The users of Dubai Metro may now recharge their Nol cards with digital payments as Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), completes the renovation of Ticket Vending Machines (TVMs) throughout stations. By upgrading 165 of the 262 TVMs located throughout metro stations, the RTA was able to reduce transaction times by 40% and allow digital payment operations for reloading Nol card balances. Additionally, these gadgets will refund change in the form of coins or paper money.

The enhanced TVMs feature a chic design and standout colours to make them easy to recognise at each station, according to Hassan Al Mutawa, Director of Rail Operations at the Rail Agency, RTA.

By cutting down on transaction processing time by 40%, these gadgets guarantee a seamless and comfortable travel experience for travellers. The TVMs at the Red and Green Lines Dubai Metro stations have been upgraded to accommodate coins and banknotes, meeting the demands of the patrons. Additionally, riders may now recharge their Nol cards much more quickly, cutting down on TVM wait times.
