Roads and Transport Authority of Sharjah announced free internet access on buses travelling between its cities

NewsThe Roads and Transport Authority (SRTA) of Sharjah announced on Monday that free internet access would be available on buses travelling between its cities. The action is a component of the authority's overall development strategy, which seeks to raise the calibre of services offered to users of public transportation.
At the bus terminal in Sharjah, travellers can access complimentary WiFi. Residents can use the service by linking to the free WiFi network while they wait for their buses. No usernames, passwords, or even e-mail and mobile phone details are required of commuters.
The emirate's intercity buses run daily journeys along 15 major routes. A comprehensive public transportation network serves Sharjah and is primarily operated by SRTA's Mowasalat Buses. Sharjah commuters use Sayer and Mowasalat cards as easy payment methods, like the NOL card in Dubai.
Free internet access is also available on intercity buses travelling from Dubai to Sharjah and Abu Dhabi. With the help of this service, intercity bus passengers can save time by processing several chores while they are in transit by browsing the Internet on their smartphones, tablets, or other mobile devices.
Additionally, complimentary WiFi is available on all public transportation in Abu Dhabi thanks to du telecoms. All of Abu Dhabi's major bus stops and the city's air-conditioned bus shelters offer the complimentary service.
