
A new charge structure will be put into effect today as part of ongoing changes to Dubai's paid parking system.
The premium parking spaces will cost Dhs6 per hour under the new system, while other public paid parking spaces will cost Dhs4 per hour during morning peak hours (8am to 10am) and evening peak hours (4pm to 8pm).
The fees will not alter in off-peak hours, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.,. Parking will be free on Sundays throughout the day and from 10 p.m. to 8 a.m.
Premium parking spots are ones that are categorized as being close to shopping centers, business centers, and metro stations.
Zone A:
Standard on-street parking stays the same during peak and off-peak hours. The duration of Dhs4 is one hour, Dhs8 is two hours, Dhs12 is three hours, and Dhs16 is four hours.
Premium off-street parking is available for Dhs6 during peak hours and Dhs4 during off-peak hours for an hour. For each, the cost doubles for two hours. Peak hours are Dhs18, and off-peak hours are Dhs12. Peak hours are Dhs24, while off-peak hours are Dhs16.
Zone B:
Standard on-street parking is Dhs4 during peak hours and Dhs3 during one-hour off-peak hours. Dhs6 for two hours at off-peak hours and Dhs8 during peak hours. Dhs9 for three hours at off-peak hours and Dhs12 during peak hours. Dhs12 for four hours during off-peak hours and Dhs16 during peak hours. Dhs30 per day is the set rate.
Premium off-street parking is available for Dhs6 during peak hours and Dhs3 during off-peak hours for an hour. Dhs6 for two hours at off-peak hours and Dhs12 during peak hours. Dhs9 for three hours at off-peak hours and Dhs18 during peak hours. Dhs12 for four hours during off-peak hours and Dhs24 during peak hours. a daily flat charge of Dhs 40.
