The UAE Digital Government said on Monday citizens of GCC nations, and their companions may apply for a 30-day e-visa to enter the UAE, extendable for an extra 30-day period. Citizens of Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, and Qatar must have an e-visa. The Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP) or the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) in Dubai are the two smart channels by which the online application is processed.
Requirements:
- After the application is accepted, e-visas will be issued to registered email address.
- Applications from GCC expatriates and their companions (family members) who are accompanying GCC nationals will not be accepted if the sponsor is not going with them.
Validity:
Residents of the GCC: The 30-day stay period is granted by the 30-day validity of the entry permit, which is valid from the date of issuance. An additional thirty days can be added to this visa.
GCC residents’ companions: A 60-day stay is allowed from the date of arrival with the entry permit, which is valid for 60 days after it is issued. An extra sixty days can be added to this visa.
Conditions:
Entry shall be refused for those whose visa has expired or been cancelled upon arrival.
Entry will be denied if the profession of GCC resident is found to be changed after the issuance of entry permit.
A person's GCC residency must be valid for one year from the date of arrival.
GCC nationals' passports must be valid for at least six months from the date of arrival.

For entry permit, GDRFAD website (https://smart.gdrfad.gov.ae) can be visited
Valid passport and a copy of their residence permit or an electronic extract that specifies their occupation and duration of their residency.
Personal photo with white background is also necessary.
Candidates are required to submit a Dh250 + vat charge. The visa will be sent to the applicant's email once approved.
