UAE citizens will be able to see a lunar eclipse on October 28. Observers can enjoy this experience as a group as lunar eclipses may be seen from a larger geographic region than solar eclipses. When the moon passes between the Sun and our heavenly neighbour, the Earth's shadow obscures it, resulting in a lunar eclipse.
The mission of the Dubai Astronomy Group (DAG) is to increase public knowledge and comprehension of these astronomical occurrences. DAG will commemorate the lunar eclipse with a public event at the Al Thuraya Astronomy Centre on October 28. Attendees will get the chance to witness and learn about these amazing natural phenomena.
