NewsThe UAE authorities declared on Thursday that those who violate their residence visas would have a grace period of two months during which their fines will be waived.
Beginning on September 1, violators will have the opportunity to leave the country or regularize their status without being penalized during the grace period.
As a gesture that reflects the values of compassion and tolerance upon which the UAE is built, the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP) said in a statement that the decision aims to give violators a new opportunity to regularize their status in accordance with the law.
