Ras Al Khaimah residents can now plan, book, and pay for multi-modal public transport journeys through a single platform. The new service, Sayr, allows users to combine buses, ride-sharing, and electric scooters or bikes for their trips.
Launched by the Ras Al Khaimah Transport Authority (RAKTA), Sayr is powered by Mobility as a Service (MaaS) technology, offering a seamless and integrated transport experience for the public.
Sayr enables users to combine various transport options, helping them save time and select the fastest route for their journey.Sayr currently includes all city and intercity bus routes within Ras Al Khaimah and beyond, with plans to extend to vehicle rental services in the future, according to Esmaeel Hasan Al Blooshi, director-general of RAKTA.
The platform features an easy-to-use interface where users can plan their trips by entering their starting point and destination. It also allows for advance bookings, route tracking, and schedule viewing, while providing secure payment options through credit cards and digital wallets for a smooth travel experience.
