Railway services will be established between Abu Dhabi city and Al Dhannah in Al Dhafra

It was revealed on Wednesday that there would be train service between Al Dhannah in Al Dhafra and Abu Dhabi City. Etihad Rail, the creator and operator of the UAE National Rail Network, and Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (Adnoc) inked an agreement to that effect.

Al Dhannah is a city of 29,000 people situated around 250 km to the west of Abu Dhabi. When the remote desert hamlet was chosen to house Adnoc's industrial workers in the 1970s, the community underwent a metamorphosis. Adnoc staff will eventually be able to take a train from the Capital city to Al Dhannah thanks to the newest agreement.
