Private schools in Dubai will not undergo full inspections for the 2024-25 academic year

The Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) has mandated that private schools in Dubai, with the exception of those starting their third year of operation, will not be subject to comprehensive inspections for the 2024–25 school year. The most recent inspection report from the KHDA was released after this decision. An outline of the various parties affected by this order within the Dubai school community can be seen below.

With an emphasis on particular areas, the Dubai Schools Inspection Bureau (DSIB) will carry out focused visits and continuous monitoring. Notifications about these goals for the next school year will be sent to the schools.

Additionally, throughout the year, schools must update their online school profile and Self-Evaluation Form on a regular basis.

In addition, schools may submit an application for a comprehensive DSIB inspection, subject to KHDA evaluation and approval. The deadline for submitting requests is July 5, 2024. Notifications of approval will be issued in the second term of the 2024–2025 academic year.

Fee increases for Dubai schools are based on their most recent inspection ratings and need clearance from the KHDA. Fee adjustments are based on ratings such as "incredible," "very good," "good," "acceptable," or "poor." It is yet unclear how future charge adjustments will be handled.
