President Sheikh Mohamed issued a directive on Thursday, for all public school students' debts to be reimbursed.
As part of the programme to encourage young education, unpaid debts of Dh155 million would be settled, according to a report on state-run news agency Wam. The programme, which will be implemented in tandem with the Emirates Schools Establishment, will assist students who are citizens of the UAE and enrolled in public schools.
The study also said that it will pay off all debts by the time the academic year 2023–2024 arrives.
