Passengers in Abudhabi can now book public, private taxis, and licensed private vehicles with a new taxi booking service

Abu Dhabi Mobility announced the introduction of a new taxi booking service in Abu Dhabi along with the global ride-hailing smart application Yango. In addition to licensed private automobiles, passengers in the emirate can now reserve both public and private taxis. 

During the trial period, over 300 cabs ran around the emirate, and in the previous five months, over 8,000 journeys were made using the Yango app. More than 1,500 taxis have registered with the Yango smartphone app, which can be downloaded for free on iOS and Android platforms in Arabic, English, and numerous other languages.

Users only need to launch the app and enter their destination to order a cab. When geolocation is turned on, the application locates the user's current location and the closest driver who will arrive the earliest. 

The program also promises to ease the concerns of locals who misplace belongings in taxis. Drivers are urged to return personal belongings discovered in taxis to the owners or the closest police station in order to protect them.

Additionally, drivers work with the franchise businesses to record any relevant information on these possessions, which they must then give to Abu Dhabi Mobility upon request. Travelers in Abu Dhabi also have the option of scheduling a cab by calling 600535353 or using the Abu Dhabi Taxi app.
