The Abu Dhabi City Municipality has cautioned that parking on sidewalks, sports tracks, and other non-designated areas will result in a fine of Dh1,000.

According to a statement on the municipality's social media channels, the offence is deemed to be in violation of municipal standards to protect public infrastructure and assets.

Residents in the Rabdan and Shakhbout areas have lately been urged by municipal officials to preserve the general orderliness of public spaces. They observed numerous instances of vehicles being parked in unauthorised areas, including in a way that impedes traffic movement or annoys other pedestrians and road users.
