NewsOver 200 volunteers—including determined individuals and senior citizens—joined Dubai police to clean up the city's streets after the country was battered by an unprecedented rain on April 16, leaving behind trash and grime.
Volunteer groups made up of Dubai Police staff personnel and community people took part in "An Hour for Dubai," a 10-day project organized by the police that concluded on Wednesday, May 1.
The volunteers swept trash and debris off the streets, restoring the neighborhoods to its pre-rain splendor, in order to guarantee the safety and cleanliness of public areas.
