NewsIn parking lots all around the city, the authority has installed more than 17,500 new directing signs. These recently erected informational panels are intended to give drivers crucial facts, such as information on public parking rates, service times, and payment options. The action is a part of RTA's continued efforts to improve customer satisfaction through better services, provide the greatest parking usage options, and provide accessibility through a variety of channels.
According to Osama Al Safi, director of parking for the Traffic and Roads Agency, these new signs feature excellent night-time visibility and four QR codes for payment options in addition to the zone code, which makes it simpler for parking customers to make direct payments through a number of channels.
Without installing an app or choosing a zone, the signs offer QR codes for Apple Pay using App Clips for iPhone devices. There is also a QR code for an SMS payment service that the customer may utilise without a data plan. Additionally, customers of this service have the option to choose already-registered automobiles rather than inputting them anew.
According to the most recent statistics, over 80% of RTA customers prefer to pay their service costs via mobile phones and smart tablets, thus signboards presenting payment choices for public parking are necessary, according to RTA.
