Operations of the marine transportation line via Dubai Ferry to be resumed between Dubai and Sharjah from August 4

Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) plans to begin operations of the Dubai Ferry maritime transportation route between Dubai and Sharjah on August 4. Since the 2020 pandemic, the service has been halted. The maritime transport service will operate eight daily excursions from Monday to Thursday (weekdays) and six trips from Friday to Sunday (weekends).

In conjunction with the Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority, this maritime service, the first of its type linking Dubai with other emirates, shuttles between Al Ghubaiba Maritime Station in Dubai and Aquarium Marine Station in Sharjah. The inauguration of the Dubai Ferry service is part of Dubai and Sharjah's collaborative efforts to provide alternative transportation options between the two emirates, reduce traffic intensity, and utilise secure marine transit given the two emirates' extensive coastline region.

The travel from Al Ghubaiba Station to Sharjah Aquarium Station takes around 35 minutes. On weekdays, two ferries will leave Sharjah at 7 a.m. and 8.30 a.m., with one departing Dubai at 7.45 a.m. There will be two evening travels from Sharjah at 4:45 pm and 6:15 pm, and three evening journeys from Dubai at 4 pm, 5:30 pm, and 7 pm.
