The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) announced on Thursday that the Dubai Metro's weekend operational hours have been extended. According to the authority, the operations will run from Saturday, August 24, from 5 a.m. to 2 a.m., and from Sunday, August 25, from 8 a.m. to 2 a.m.
The busiest airport in the world, Dubai International (DXB), said on Wednesday that 3.43 million passengers will pass through its doors over the course of the next 13 days as locals return from their summer vacations.
According to Dubai Airports, the airline would handle over 500,000 passengers between August 31 and September 1. The peak day, September 1, is anticipated to be when DXB accommodates 291,000 visitors.
DXB said earlier this month that during the first half of this year, Dubai had welcomed a record 44.9 million visitors.
