Only three operators can conduct lottery and related activities in the UAE as per GCGRA

The General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority (GCGRA) has said that only three operators are permitted to participate in lottery and associated activities in the United Arab Emirates.

The Game, LLC has been granted the nation's only lottery license, and it is known as The UAE Lottery. According to the authority, the GCGRA regulatory framework only allows this lottery license.

Moreover, the statute allows for the continuation of "certain preexisting lottery activities." Only two airport lotteries, Big Ticket and Dubai Duty Free, which have been in business for about 30 years, are permitted to carry on functioning under the GCGRA's supervision within this framework. All other existing lotteries have been instructed to cease operations by the GCGRA and will not be considered for further operations.
