Nol card top-up at metro stations must be a minimum amount of Dhs20 from January 15

It will now be mandatory for passengers to top up at metro stations with a minimum of Dhs20. If you'd want to save a few dirhams, recharge online as this new rate does not yet apply to commuters topping up online.

The nol Pay app, the RTA website and app, the dubainow application and more are the several ways to recharge online.

The Nol card may be used on buses, trams, ferries, abras and other public transport options in addition to the metro. Additionally, you may use this convenient card in pharmacies, restaurants, grocery stores, tourist sites in Dubai, and other daily services (such parking and taxi fares).

A registered card may contain up to Dhs5,000, whereas an anonymous nol card has a maximum value of Dhs $1,000. The minimum balance will remain Dh5 until January 14; after that, you should have Dhs15 for a round-trip ticket on the Dubai Metro.
