New legislation on EV charging stations is being researched in the UAE with reduced charging time, high efficiency and reasonable price

The UAE's Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, Suhail bin Mohammed Al Mazrouei, has stated that the ministry is looking into new regulations for electric vehicle (EV) charging stations with the aim of cutting down on charging times while keeping high efficiency at a "reasonable" cost.

The minister mentioned that there are now about 500 EV charging stations nationally, with plans to increase that number to 800 stations in the upcoming years in his remarks made yesterday on the sidelines of the ongoing World Utilities Conference 2023 in Abu Dhabi.He said that the UAE has some of the most advanced transport and distribution systems in the world.
