New initiative was announced by Sharjah Municipality, simplifying the parking process for people of determination

Free parking memberships will be made available for some Sharjah residents. Sharjah Municipality unveiled a new program on Thursday that would streamline the parking procedure for individuals with a disability while also creating a more inclusive and accessible atmosphere in public areas. Individuals with subscription cards issued by official authorities can use this service to get free public parking and virtually connect to the parking system. By establishing this virtual connecting method, eligible persons can enjoy their parking advantages without having to place the card on the windscreen of their automobiles physically.

The authority has made the procedure more user-friendly by eliminating the necessity for customers to physically visit the municipality office. Individuals who are eligible can now complete the full process online. The documents necessary to acquire free parking subscriptions are valid Emirates ID, vehicle ownership card and disability card.

• Choose from public parking services.
• Apply for a disability parking permit and provide the necessary documentation.
