New initiative by Higher Colleges of Technology; allows faculty members to spend a sabbatical program aimed at upskilling

NewsA new initiative is offered by the Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT) which allows its faculty members to spend a sabbatical period of approximately one month in a workplace setting, during which they gain insights into the latest experiences, applications, and practical methodologies relevant to their field.
The main objective of these programs is to narrow the divide between the industry and academia which will add value to the latter. The sabbatical program is aimed at upskilling the faculty and can be availed in addition to their annual leave. During this period the teaching faculty can gain insights into the latest experiences, applications, and practical methodologies relevant to their field.
HCT produced almost 92,000 graduates, between 1990 and 2020. More than 110 academic experts in practical education from prestigious international universities have shown interest in the college.
