New crescent-shaped project is being built atop Jebel Deem, Ghamam in Sharjah’s Kalba

A new project with a crescent form is being constructed in Kalba, Sharjah. It will provide expansive views of the ocean, valleys, and mountains. Located on Jebel Deem at an elevation of around 850 metres above sea level, Ghamam, which means "above the clouds," is composed of two levels. The upper level will have a restaurant, an open café, and a reading room, while the lower level features observation decks, a multipurpose hall, and a prayer room.

To make the rugged mountain more verdant for the new attraction, almost 4,500 trees have been planted. Apple, pomegranate, grape, and olive trees are a few of these.

A 100-room hotel and a football stadium will also be constructed next to the mountainside project. The stadium, which is 650 metres above sea level, will be 10 degrees colder than the city, allowing football players to play in humidity-free circumstances, according to earlier highlights from the Sharjah Ruler.

In Sharjah, there are now two projects of this nature underway. The 600-meter-tall Al Suhub Rest Area was opened in 2021 by the Sharjah Ruler above Khor Fakkan.
