MoU signed facilitating immediate communication between Dubai Civil Defence and MBRHE in the event of a fire for swift response

The Mohammed bin Rashid Housing Establishment (MBRHE) and the General Directorate of Dubai Civil Defence (GDDCD) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to increase collaboration in integrating their systems to monitor occurrences impacting residential buildings. The agreement, inked at the headquarters of Dubai Civil Defence, underlines the two organisations' shared commitment to strengthening strategic engagement with Dubai government institutions.

The agreement will allow Dubai Civil Defence and MBRHE to communicate immediately in the case of a fire, allowing their employees to respond quickly and give housing options to impacted families if necessary. The Memorandum of Understanding also intends to promote coordination with insurance firms in order to expedite damage assessment and reimbursement processes for insured buildings. It also requires the establishment of a collaborative database to investigate the causes of such accidents and develop strategic preventative measures.

Both sides have created a joint working committee to coordinate and monitor progress, with the goal of finding long-term solutions to any issues. Both institutions will work together to undertake a survey of older residents' houses and to execute a promotional campaign for the 'Husnutak' fire alarm system, with the goal of increasing the rate of installation in such homes.

The campaign's major purpose is to improve people' safety and security while also protecting them from fires. The MoU was signed on behalf of their respective institutions by Brigadier Rashed Thani Al Matrooshi, Director-General, Dubai Civil Defence General Directorate, and Omar Hamad Bushahab, Executive Director, Mohammed bin Rashid Housing Establishment.

Brig Al Matrooshi emphasised his organization's dedication to the protection of life and private property. He also stressed the need of installing the Husnutak gadget in all houses to improve safety and security. The agreement aims to improve and optimise the efforts of firemen and rescuers, as well as to promote fire prevention and prompt response to accidents.
