Motorists can take advantage of the remaining grace period to pay 50% less on fines for traffic violations

NewsDrivers have been urged by police in Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah, and Fujairah to utilize the remaining grace period in order to receive a 50% reduction in fines for moving violations.
Vehicle impoundment and traffic point cancellation are included in the discount. Drivers can use the police smartphone app or customer satisfaction centers to pay the reduced penalty. As part of the 53rd Eid Al Etihad celebrations, the grace—which does not include major infractions—was recently revealed.
Police warned offenders that if the deadline is missed, they will be required to pay the full amount of the fines. Different emirates have different deadlines.
In Ajman - The reduction is available from November 4, 2024, until December 15, 2024, and it is applied to infractions committed prior to October 31, 2024.
In Ras Al Khaimah - Discounts are available for infractions committed prior to December 1, 2024, and they will be applied between December 2, 2024, and December 31, 2024.
In Umm Al Quwain - The reduction is available from December 1, 2024, to January 5, 2025, and it is applied to infractions incurred before to that date.
In Fujairah - Discounts for infractions before to December 1, 2024, will be applied between December 2, 2024, and January 23, 2025.
