Most Noble Numbers charitable sale will be held in UAE in support of the year's 1 billion Meals Endowment initiative

NewsSingular charity events have raised tens of millions of dirhams in Dubai and Abu Dhabi over the past two years. On Saturday, a new "Most Noble Numbers" charitable sale will be held in support of the year's "1 billion Meals Endowment" initiative.
The idea that someone would spend a staggering Dh35 million or Dh38 million for a vehicle plate is truly mind-boggling to the uninitiated. Last year, the starting bid for the unique Dubai licence plate number "AA8" was Dh5 million. The competition quickly heated up and reached Dh20 million before ending at Dh35 million, which was ultimately purchased by an anonymous bidder.
The single-digit Dubai licence plate "AA9" went for an astounding Dh38 million a year earlier, in 2021. Additionally, the successful bidder was kept secret.
In just one night, the inaugural "Most Noble Numbers" auction, which took place in Ramadan 2021 alongside the "100 Million Meals" campaign, collected Dh50.45 million. Additional to the Dh111 million raised by the Abu Dhabi Police for the same effort in 2022, Dh53 million was raised by the Dubai auction for special mobile numbers last year.
Purchasing fancy numbers (such as licence plates and unique mobile numbers) meant feeding the poor for the bidders and managers.
The "100 Million Meals" campaign produced more than 220 million meals in 2021 due to contributions from 385,000 people, businesses, and other charitable organisations representing 51 different countries. A significant portion of the total amount collected that year came from the Dh50.45 million earned through sales.
The "1 billion Meals" goal was met in less than a month last year, providing food to those in need in 50 nations, including Nigeria, Sudan, Albania, Jordan, Egypt, Kyrgyzstan, Lebanon, India, Pakistan, Uganda, Kosovo, Tajikistan, and more.
The "1 Billion Meals Endowment" campaign aims to create a food endowment fund for long-term food aid, will receive 100% of the proceeds from this year's auction.
There will be a sale for several posh cars and cell phone numbers on April 8 at the Four Seasons Resort in Dubai. Prominent individuals from numerous businesses and charities who are eager to support charitable efforts are anticipated to attend the auction once more.
The value of the single-digit plate number P7 and the ten two-digit numbers AA19, AA22, AA80, O71, X36, W78, H31, Z37, J57, and N41 will be hotly anticipated, causing a high level of excitement.
As soon as the gavel is raised, there will be more car plates and mobile numbers up for sale, and we can anticipate fierce bidding. Although bidders will compete to outbid one another, we already knew who the true victors are: humanity and charity.
