More than 6,000 rest stations will be provided across the UAE for delivery service employees

The Ministry of Human Resources has stated that more than 6,000 rest areas would be available for delivery service employees throughout the United Arab Emirates. These stations will be established as joint ventures between public and private sectors. During their midday rests, the riders will be able to use these places, which they may locate using an interactive map.

These mandatory breaks between 12.30 and 3 p.m. for outdoor workers will take effect on June 15 and last until September 15.

This programme is a part of the Ministry's efforts to guarantee the health and safety of delivery service employees as well as to give them a secure workplace.

During the midday break, businesses must supply enough cold drinking water, sufficient cooling equipment, parasols, and covered spaces to shield employees from the sun.
