More than 100 new parks will be built in the emirate of Abu Dhabi by the end of 2023

NewsBy the end of 2023, more than 100 new parks will be constructed in the emirate of Abu Dhabi as part of ongoing efforts to create a more sustainable and greener world. The establishment of brand-new parks is a component of the 'Livability Strategy''s first phase, which includes the creation of public spaces worth Dh12 billion in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, and Al Dhafra.
According to the Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT) in Abu Dhabi, 113 parks will be constructed overall, with 70 of those located in Abu Dhabi, 30 in Al Ain, and 9 in the Al Dhafra district. 277 more new parks will be built by 2025, including 180 in Abu Dhabi, 80 in Al Ain, and 17 in Al Dhafra.
In addition to expanding the number of parks and green spaces around the emirate, the first phase of the strategy intends to offer infrastructural amenities including bike and pedestrian pathways, beautification projects, and community facilities like sports fields, clinics, and mosques.
