On Tuesday, the UAE Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE) announced the opening of 356 rest stops for delivery drivers around the UAE. The administration also stated that the rest stops provide critical services to safeguard vehicles from the blazing sun and heat fatigue, particularly during the summer.
This policy is consistent with the noon break provision, which is in effect from June 15 to September 15 between 12.30 p.m. and 3 p.m.
"Our commitment to the safety of delivery workers during the summer is reflected in this initiative, which was implemented in coordination with the relevant private sector delivery companies with the support of several government entities," the ministry noted.
