MoHAP has launched a new 24/7 WhatsApp service that features a directory of registered medical products

A new, round-the-clock WhatsApp service with a list of medicinal items that have been registered has been introduced by the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP). Through this service, users may ask questions about medications that are registered in the United Arab Emirates and receive comprehensive details on each medication, such as its name, pharmaceutical form, active ingredients, package size that is accessible in the nation, and selling price.

The ministry aims to offer a thorough list of medications and medical supplies that have been formally registered on the ministry website through the directory. According to MoHAP, the information is easily accessible from reliable sources around-the-clock and may be accessed using smart devices.

During Gitex Global 2023, which is presently happening in the Dubai World Trade Centre, the new service was introduced. It is a component of the Ministry's continuous campaigns to increase public health awareness, provide people with accurate information about appropriate drugs, encourage treatment plan adherence, and reduce prescription mistakes. Assisting patients in making well-informed decisions about their health in accordance with their requirements and physician orders, the service increases transparency and confidence in pharmaceutical goods. In order to meet their needs, patients and healthcare professionals can consequently obtain market-approved medicinal items.

In order to interact with the service directly and explore the available options, residents may subscribe to it by adding the number 0097142301221 to their contact list on WhatsApp and texting the word "Hello."

The Ministry and health authorities worked together to create the recently announced programme, which is in line with the UAE government's mission to advance and protect patient rights. It also emphasises how committed the government is to provide all the services required to improve patients' capacities and ease their reintegration into society.
