MoE launches of its nationwide competition My School My Identity for public schools

NewsThe "My School… My Identity" national competition for public schools has been announced by the Ministry of Education (MoE). The competition encourages students and educators to turn their schools into lively venues that honor Emirati cultural heritage, in keeping with the ministry's mission to preserve the country's cultural identity.
Her Excellency The competition's goal, according to Education Minister Sarah Al Amiri, is to enable educators and students to express their creativity by creating school décor designs that honor the United Arab Emirates' rich cultural legacy.
According to a list of criteria released by the MoE, the winning schools will be chosen based on factors like efficiency, creativity and innovation, accuracy and quality of the designs, embracing Emirati heritage, and matching designs with educational objectives. The MoE has also specified the safety, health, and technological prerequisites for putting artwork in school buildings.
Along with Ministry of Education personnel and Emirati artists, the MoE has assembled a panel of judges that includes experts from other organizations. After evaluating the entries and determining if they adhere to the competition's rules and regulations, they will choose the top ten schools.
The top ten winners will receive cash awards from the MoE: AED 100,000 for first place, AED 70,000 for second, AED 50,000 for third, and AED 25,000 for fourth through tenth place.
Entries from schools are accepted from January 20 to March 28, 2025.
