Ministry of Municipality launched a project to develop 'protected farms' and climate-smart agriculture

In an effort to combat soil problems, minimise evaporation, and conserve water, the Ministry of Municipality (MoM) has initiated an initiative to create "protected farms" and climate-smart agriculture. The project will be carried out by Qatar and South Korea in collaboration with the Korea Trade Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA), Hyundai Research Institute, and Plant Farm firm as part of the Knowledge Sharing Programme (KSP).

The initiative is part of the Ministry of Municipality's collaborative cooperation with the Republic of Korea, according to Dr. Masoud Jarallah Al Marri, Director of the Food Security Department, who spoke at the inauguration event yesterday in Doha.
