Middle Easts first traditional Hindu stone temple will be opened to the public in February

According to top BAPS Hindu Mandir leaders, the Middle East's first traditional Hindu stone temple will open to the public in February. Representatives stated that the opening ceremonies will be the largest "festival of harmony" in history. "The BAPS Hindu Mandir will be a spiritual haven for global peace." The huge temple will be opened on February 14, 2024, with a Vedic ceremony led by His Holiness Pujya Mahant Swami Maharaj on a vast 27-acre plot of land near Abu Mureikhah. The "enlightening celebration of deep spirituality and faith" is an invitation-only event, according to a statement from the temple. On February 15, members of the Indian community in the nation will be able to participate in the celebrations by attending a public dedication assembly in the presence of Swami Maharaj. Participation in this ceremony is subject to previous registration.

The BAPS Hindu Mandir, which is being constructed under the direction of temple head Brahmaviharidas Swami, will open to the public on February 18, 2024. "Events and religious ceremonies before this day will be reserved for the registered and invited only," the temple said in a statement. The UAE government allocated land for the construction of a temple in Abu Dhabi in August 2015. During Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to the UAE, the UAE President, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, presented the land.
